What is a Hollywood Area NA Subcommittee?
A subcommittee is a service body created by the Greater Hollywood Area Service Committee for a specific purpose in order to better serve the common needs of our members and carry NA’s message outside of our meetings.
CALL TO SERVICE: If you would like to be of service by joining a subcommittee, you may:
1. Contact the specific subcommittee chair person via email.
2. Ask a GSR (Group Service Representative) at a Hollywood Area Meeting how to contact the subcommittee chair person.
3. Attend the subcommittee’s monthly meeting.
4. Visit our announcements page for specific service opportunities; updated on a monthly basis.
Please note that although this page and our Announcements page may ask for specific support, in most cases, subcommittees can use the support of any recovering addict interested.

In The Greater Hollywood Area we have a Helpline number to assist people find meetings and answer general questions.
CALL TO SERVICE: Our Helpline is answered by recovering addicts with six months or more clean time.

Hospitals and Institutions Subcommittee

H&I is a subcommittee whose purpose is to bring the message of NA recovery to addicts who may not have full access to NA meetings. These include recovery homes, medical facilities, correctional institutions, etc. Usually one recovering addict will have a commitment to facilitate a group of recovering addicts (also called a panel). The format of any particular H&I meeting/presentation may vary from meeting to meeting depending on the type of facility.
CALL TO SERVICE: To speak on a panel you will need 6 months clean. To facilitate a panel you will need 1 year clean and 6 months prior involvement in H&I.
