There is effectively no subcommittee at this time, until someone steps up to the chair position.

Activities Chair
Prerequisites (these can be waived by vote of the ASC):

• 2 years clean
• 2 years prior experience on Greater Hollywood Activities Committee

Duties:

• Attends monthly ASC and Regional Activites meetings
• Chairs Area Activities meeting and leads committee in organizing events (dances, picnics, etc.) for the Greater Hollywood Area of NA

The following meetings will be closed on Monday, May 30th for Memorial Day

The following area-level commitments are still open:

Vice Treasurer
Prerequisites:

• 4 years clean
• Spreadsheet ability
• Understanding of bank reconciliations
• Online access for banking on secure computer
• Willingness to step up to Treasurer Commitment if elected

Duties:

• Assists treasurer in all duties as needed or delegated.
• Co-signer on ASC bank account.

Regional NA Youth Committee (NAYC) Representative

Prerequisites:

• 1 year clean
• An active interest in the issues confronting young people recovering in Southern California NA

Duties:

• Attends monthly NAYC meeting as liaison between the NAYC and the area
• Either calls in report or reports back by email a month later (NAYC meeting is at same time as the GHASC)

PR subcommittee needs a vice chair and secretary, and members at large to support the committee.

Regional PR will have booth at LA Pride event, June 11 and 12, 11AM-11PM. Anyone interested in working the booth, email Eric at pr [@] hollywoodna.org

Seeking people with prior Unity Day experience to step back up to help smooth transition to the new facility for the next Unity Day.

Need people to fill a variety of positions with varying requirements of skill levels, clean times. Elected positions still open include treasurer, secretary, merchandise, vice chair, entertainment, registration.

Basic H&I requirements: Need 6 months clean to speak on a panel, 1 year to lead a panel, and 5 years off probation/parole to go into LA County Jail.

Convention Stories: the first online issue ever! We will be able to publish full color art and photography, so send it in now! Seeking stories or anecdotes about NA events around the world. Deadline: July 1.

The Newsletter needs:

• Illustrator: A visual artist willing to read the content of each issue and create original drawings or sketches for that issue.
• Designer: In order to make sure the production burden does not fall on one person, we need a second designer willing to alternate issues with Steve G., the current designer.
