Hospitals and Institutions Subcommittee

H&I has 5 open panels. Two are women only. Interested members need a year clean to lead a panel, and six months to speak on one.

The subcommittee also does not have a permanent meeting space just yet, as the Covenant House is closed for renovations. In the meantime, H&I will meet on Monday, October 3rd at 7:00pm at Devon F.’s house. Email hi [@] hollywoodna [.] org for the address.

Next event is a Roller Disco: October 22nd, 5-7pm at Moonlight Rollerway, 5110 San Fernando Rd, Glendale, CA 91204. Tickets $10.

Next event will be December 10th. More information to come.

Next subcommittee meeting is October 2nd at 2:30pm at IHOP, 7006 W Sunset Blvd.

Unity Day Subcommittee

Unity Day is still seeking artwork / theme submissions.

Considering inviting food trucks to the event to cater. If anyone has information on food trucks please contact the chair through the number in the printed meeting directory or being emailing ud [@] hollywoodna.org.

Next meeting will be August 28th, 2PM, at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd.

  • Have you ever gone through the steps on a particular issue or area of your life? Was it painful? Freeing? Both?
  • Are you procrastinating with either Step Four or Step Nine? What are your fears? Voicing them in the newsletter might just help you move forward.
  • If you had to pick one paragraph from all of NA’s step literature, which would be your favorite? Why? How does it speak to you?
