We hope that you will find both inspiration and food for thought in this issue, which we dedicate to Clean Not Dead: Living Proof, Youth Unity Day of NA’s Southern California Region.
The Greater Hollywood Area of NA is proud and privileged, honored and humbled to host this event, which takes place on August 13, from 10 a.m. to midnight at the Hollywood Women’s Club, 1749 N. La Brea Ave. We ask all NA members of Greater Hollywood to support the youth of NA by attending this important event, which is designed to increase unity and further our primary purpose of carrying the message to the addict who still suffers throughout the Southern California Region.

When we put out the word that we wanted to publish an issue on “Creativity in Recovery” and that we would welcome pretty much any sort of expression, we got an overwhelming response!
Poems, articles, lyrics, photography, stories, an excerpt of a play and artwork came in such abundance, we now have a backlog of really great contributions to use as part of the next several issues.
Funny thing: it’s not uncommon to hear a newcomer fret in a meeting about fearing that they might not be able to create art without the aid of their drug of choice. They wonder if they are now going to lose their “edge,” and be deserted by their Muse!
From what we see here, there’s no need to worry!
